Default Re: Gonna need a heater core...

How do you temporarily bypass the heater core? I have had my ZR-1 for 8 years and never used my heater or defrost. I would like to bypass it before it starts to leak, and someday if I need a heater, or sell the car reconnect it. Thanks

Default Thanks! Now, carpet cleaning??

I'm looking forward to tearing the dash apart about like "going to the woodshed". But! I do driver 'er a little in the winter on sunny, dry days and a defroster and warm toes are nice. SO...I recon I'll bite the bullet and change the SOB and be done with it. But, I may bypass it until cooler weather arrives - hadn't considered that, Hans...Good suggestion.

Other than lots of distilled water and a wet/dry shop vac, any suggestions on getting the antifreeze out of the carpet???

TIA,

P.
