Another common issue that yours sounds like is a collapsing intake duct. When it warms up it bulks at 50% + throttle. Check it or rienforce it. Simple & cheap to try. Pete

I'm in the mode of a peripheral overhaul at this point, spurred by many suggestions made so far.
Two of the latest discoveries (resulting from suggestions here): The intake snorkel hose was collapsing, and was not secured on the filter plenum end, for all intents and purposes. An internal aluminum sleeve now provides the support to the connection and the snorkel hose and looks "stock". The secondary vacuum actuator line connection between the pump and the intake plenum had a slight leak. That is resolved, but now more than ever I want to see what is going on now under the plenum. (gaskets and plug wires and a coils are on the way!!). Progress!!! (Stay turned!) P. |
