Re: Are we including new ZR1 on this board?
Why wouldn't embracing the new ZR1 be good for the NetRegistry?

Re: Are we including new ZR1 on this board?
I'm not very smart as many of you can attest, BUT!?
that being said, I would think allowing all NEW ZR1 owners to join our registry would be a great thing. Give them their own section, to talk about their cars. but include them in our gathering events, which could help offset costs on track rentals, and improve participation. the more the merrier. It would allow us to meet some new people, and i'm sure many of you will buy one. We had discussed allowing the z06 owners to attend our gathering, to increase above mentioned statement. Last year, i LOVED having the, skunks, callaways, attend. I met some fun corvette people. Got to see some really cool cars. After all, its about the people. oops...sorry just fell off my soapbox. have a nice day. |

What about guys with C3 ZR-1s? If you want to get technical, thats where the whole RPO code started.
Just playing devil's advocate.

are still able to drive. I used to have a C3, albeit not a zr1. I'd love to see them in Bowling Green. They are after all, everyone of them.... "Corvettes" |

Re: Are we including new ZR1 on this board?
As far as the C3s go, there were only 28 of them produced total, correct?

Re: Are we including new ZR1 on this board?
maybe we should address the question differently: will THEY want to join us ??
as tomtom said, theres not much info for them here, and we wont be able to help them with parts and tips...i guess thats why we dont include the c3 zr-1 bj 91/1735 |

It could be a gathering place for them to exchange information, just like we do. In their own section. As they go, some will learn more than others, and would have a forum to share that information. JMHO |

Re: Are we including new ZR1 on this board?
Its clear that GM meant to pass on the KOTH mantle to the new ZR1. I think this indicates GM believes the ZR1 moniker belongs to the Corvette representing the ultimate expression of Generous Mother's
engineering capabilities. That's what the C4 ZR was about in 1990 and that's what the C6 ZR is about 18years later. My goodness I would hope there would be some difference between the 2 cars over all that time. With all that said, it stands to reason that we should at least have a separate section and registry for the new ZR. The lineage is clear. If we don't do it here, I'm sure IB will do it. |
