Re: fuel injectors
Uh oh. Please don't tell me I installed the wrong ones. I got the part number from posting in this thread:
http://zr1netregistry.com/forum/show...ghlight=150821 To make matters worse my engine is a 91 with 94 heads. It runs great but if there's room for improvment please do tell! |

Re: fuel injectors
Kurt White "White Racing" states R/C injectors are as good as it gets. I got mine for $68 each from R/C direct in Ca. Had to buy 8 primary o-ring seals that were not included and they were very pricey through a Buick Dealer my mechanic deals with. I suggest looking elsewhere for the seals.

Re: fuel injectors
Hello. Just replaced all 16 injectors with Accel part number 150121 from Atlantic Speed for about $500. This took care of my high idle problem as well as a bad lack of power (bad stumble when the secondaries kick in), also replaced the PCV hose with the unit from White Racing and got new PCV valves. The old hose was a loose fit to the valves and this probably contributed to the high idle (1200 rpm), it now goes right to 750 rpm after start. The injectors were the originals and ethanol had taken its toll on them. I was a first timer on the plenum removal, it's not that big of a deal.

Re: fuel injectors
Just read Roger E's post about using the outer slot on the injector for the clip to the fuel rail (the slot next to the o-ring?) I just pushed them into the rail and used the slots that look like they were made for the clip. There were no leaks and it runs fine. Does anybody know how much difference this makes? Should I worry?

Re: fuel injectors
So do the Accel 150121 injectors work in both the 375 and 405 hp LT5 engines?
