When mine was giving me problems with fan speed/power, it turned out to be the fan speed controller on top of the A/C plenum under the hood.

Yeah I think is it more along the line of working fine but the amount of air being pushed is weak

Speaking of keeping cool, a good friend of mine is a car enthusiast currently owning a 65 Vette convertible, MB 300 series, and an AMG GTR. He has had ceramic glass tint installed which is claimed to cut solar load down significantly.
Anyone else here use that, and if so, what?s ur experience? For those of us w base C4 windshields, that would really help in keeping cool w AC. |

My manual AC blows 11.7mph out the vents.. not sure how much more I can squeak out of it. I have something to try though

So I compared the output of my corvette 11.7mph on max vs my 2016 charger which seems like a lot more.. Apparently it is not.. the blower on the Charge is 11.3 mph.
I am starting to think it is just the weak temperature differential between the ambient and out the vent temperature due to the undersized compressor.. too bad the 10PA19 doesn't fit vs the 10PA17. So I am really not sure what if any improvement I personally would get if I was able to squeak out more speed. I will try my experiment as it will run separately form the AC setup and i can see if it will be worth it to me..

I don't know the wind speed of my AC, but yesterday it was 90*+ at 80% humidity. AC kept the interior cool at 70*.
My system is converted to 134a. One thing I noted, there is a screen in the AC box (engine compartment side) that can be clogged with debris. Even at 20K miles, mine was already half blocked. There is also has a seal that helps the air flowing through the evaporator. Inspection of both required removing half the air plenum from the firewall.

Is fixed,
I assume the outer side of the HVAC box... what did you do to clean out the screen? And where specifically is the seal you are referring to?
