Re: OBX Headers a heat concern?
Actually ANY current available header yes. Only the Jeal headers and Watson Headers NLA except as used fit as they should. No dipstick relocation mods needed. All required a longer passenger O2 sensor harness however. GC

Re: OBX Headers a heat concern?
My SW LT headers are NOT coated, and I have no heat "issues". Haven't used the AC in 7 years and don't miss it. Instead, I use the window "link" which I really like anyway.
The floor doesn't get uncomfortable - I don't even notice it (heat). However, the tunnel does get pretty warm, so warn that my cell phone will shut down (self preservation mode). I rolled the dice on coating: In retrospect I prolly would have them coated. But, it isn't very high on my "to do" list (apparently). I used to ride a motorcycle. One of the unexpected pleasures when riding is the aromas as you ride along: fields of flowers, fresh mowed hay, the ocean, etc. I don't get that in a car with the windows rolled up and the AC on. But! Soon as I install the widow link, all the aromas return. I'm in NO hurry to fire up the AC, and therefore neither am I chomping at the bit to coat the headers either. Just sayin.

Re: OBX Headers a heat concern?
The Watson headers on my '91 were just coated. Though tucked in the NW of the country, I highly recommend Performance Coatings in Auburn, WA, performancecoating.com. Very quick service, 1 week, multitude of color options, and excellent results. $345 per set. With tax (WA), environment fee, and shipping, $422. Following break-in heat cycle procedures to ensure adherence.
