Default Re: DIS Unit.. is made of Gold?

While it is true that the DIS module sheds heat to the plenum, coolant running through the throttle body has no affect on the temperature of the rear of the plenum where the DIS module is located.

If I was worried about the DIS module condition, I'd get the plenum off, remove the module and clean it off top and bottom. Then I'd make sure all the pins of its 14-pin connector and its two 3-pin connectors are clean.

Then, I'd clean the mounting surface on the plenum. Once that and the module mounting surfaces are clean then I'd apply the dielectric grease per the Factory Service Module. Finally, I'd reinstall the module.

Before setting the plenum back in place, I'd look at the connectors at the ends of the DIS harness and make sure all their pins are clean.

I concur as I figured that TB coolant flow was a relatively small heat source just enough to keep the TB from icing in cold weather.... Thanks for the DIS reconditioning update

Can I use that? “Temporary Posts” I love it.

Ha, ha....yes you are a parts hoarder. You need PHA (Parts Hoarders Anonymous) treatment; there might even be a group here for that...lol.
