NC police must have it out for Yankees?
I've got hundreds of miles as Steve's co-pilot,
never once has he sped...

Entering North Carolina on Rt. 95 is especially a speed trap area.

Otherwise, I have not run into any speed traps in 3 years in the Raleigh area, but there could be some Jerkwater town has one. Within municipal town limits it is 35 MPH unless otherwise posted. Outside municipal town limits it is 55 MPH unless otherwise posted, with 70mph as the max. You can get away with 5 over the limit and 10 is pushing their patience.

They drive all kinds of unmarked cars, "Ghosts" cars, or stealth cars as some people call them, are marked police cruisers the graphics and decals are barely visible during the day and are very faint, but typically are Dodge sedans (Black over Silver) while the locals are usually (Blue or Green over white).

Sorry to hear that Steve. Looks like you need me to find a rabbit to follow who would flush them out like we did from MD to MR6. Checking out of hotel in Dhaka in 3 hours for flight back to USA. Productive trip. Speak to you soon.

They didn't get me, but radar detectors are illegal in Virginia.

We travel through Va.(from Fl. to Pa.and back), every summer for the last 30 years, always with a detector. No problem until I got popped last year.
It was an "instant on radar" situation, so it wasn't because he had a radar detector detector.
He was very cordial, but asked for the detector. I thought he was going to seize it, but he just copied down the serial # for evidence on the ticket he wrote.
It was only a $40 ticket, and he gave me back the Valentine. So I'm going to continue to use the detector.
It seems to me, a $40 ticket on top of a speeding violation isn't enough reason to pull down a detector that might save you a speeding ticket in the first place.

Thanks for all the input on speeding, but I already know how to do that.
The point of the thread was to see if anybody needed anything transported to or from.
