That was absolutely AWESOME, Glen!
Thank you for the videos.
Your car sounded great and was very stable.
This is an event perfect for our cars:
Torque/HP and aerodynamic.

I have done this on smooth (sometimes)
and wide runways. This was NARROW!
No doubt, you have kahunas! As said
before, good, new tires are safety #1.
And a trick for next time: Shift into 6th
when you are done to slow down. Then
brake and downshift.

The Mojave Magnum (1.5 miles) is this
coming weekend. I'm missing it for
various reasons. Your videos make that
even more sad. :-(

At least there weren't any trees or fence post you would hit if you went off road

Hi all I went racing again last weekend this time I did a flying 1/4 mile we had 1.5 miles run up 1/4 mile timed section 1.5 miles run down on the timed section I got to 176 mph both ways then I kept going after the timed section and got up to 184 mph on my GPS before I had to slow down here's a couple of videos of the race both videos are of the same race we got 7 runs all together Yes 5th gear I didn't try 6th as I think it would be slower

Yes standard diff gears 3.45 I think going to 3.07 might help get a little more speed

Only if you have an engine big enough to pull your car at high speeds with these gears. There is a "sweet spot"
matching your engine and gears to achieve the result you want, in this case top speed. Even transmission
gear ratios can be changed. Obviously, depends on how deep you want to get into this (& $$).

That diffuser is AWESOME! In place of the spare?

This is the ultimate, I believe: Dave (Daves Obsession), from Texas has a ZR-1 Bonneville car he talks about:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-up-date.html
Lots you can learn from this.

You can surely get hooked on this kind of racing.
