Yep, you have to reach over your coffee to shift in the 94, plus it has the smaller passenger side toe box!

The 1991 RHD is more of a mirror image conversion.
It maintains the glove compartment and swaps the shifter and cup holders. I see the fuse access panel moved to the left side also.
Must have some creative engineering to get the new shifter location to work with the transmission. The 1994 took the easy way out.
Wonder what the 1991 conversion cost?

Didn't noticed that. That's a bit of a reach.

Lets not forget that in these RHD cars you have to throw gearshifts with your left arm. That takes some getting used to, it feels very odd.

The shift pattern does not change!

When I used to work in Australia, us Americans would play a game with some of the stick shift work trucks we rented. The passenger shifted because it felt so much more natural...just had to watch the driver's left leg action. It was a little weird with no steering wheel to hang onto though.

I used to work at a manufacturing plant that made Freightliner Class 6,7,8 tractors. We had a big contract for tractors to pull those "cattle trains". The framerails were very long with a huge wheelbase, and they had fuel tanks stuffed from the front tires all the way back until the first set of tires on both sides.
They required such a large fuel capacity as many of these large cattle farms are out in the middle of nowhere.

I remember that since all of the engines had their turbos on the right side of the engine, that the right hand steering presented some unique engineering challenges. But they still rolled off the assembly line at a rate of 44 per 8 hour shift(7 hours 20 minutes of actual production-20 minute lunch and 2 10 minute breaks) or 1 truck every 10 minutes, every truck started under its own power, drove off the end of the assembly line and went directly to the chassis dyno cells for a run.
