Fine looking 94
Congratulations and welcome aboard the brotherhood.
Stout running Grand Sport you have, could you share your setup for making the outer spindle axles survive with the short 60 ft times you have listed in your signature? Mine would tend to break when coming out that hard.

I believe the swap to the A4 was his "savior". That maybe very well was the convincing repair/replacements (spindle replacement) that took him to the A4.

Thanks guys!

The GS is converted to a 700R4, but I was still breaking spindles. I had oversize billet ones made by Summers Brothers as a last resort before going to a solid rear. They have been holing up great. Been thru 3 Eaton trutrac and a bucket of spicer u-joints though. But I keep lost of u-joints in stock and figure they are a wearable part to check often.

Hard to compare the Z yet. I won't pick it up for about a week or so and only drove it about 8 miles on the test drive. Didn't think it pulled too hard but I'm a bit desensitized. (We have had a 2010GS with blower making 700+ rwhp, 08 coupe blower making around 600rwhp, 11 CTSV coupe making 650 rwhp.) I got up to 85 in 2nd pretty smoothly, but I'm wondering if it was at full power. Not sure if it has a chip in it, I never messed with the power key, but the green light was on. I figure once I get it I'll have to go thru it replacing all fluids, tires, belt, plugs, brakes, 4.10's and a shifter to start.

Also noticed the rear shocks are Koni, fronts are still Bilstein with the actuators on them. No light on the info center, so have to see which direction to go with those. I know C4's inside out but have been reading now about ZR-1 differences.

Sounds like you have a lot of toys...Here in Bk NY I own two Corvettes and one garage...Space is way limited here.....One stays in the garage the other has a all weather cover and is parked in a friends driveway about ten mins from my house....NY is way freakin crowded.....At least the tap water is good and the women are fine....Lol...

Picking it up tonight after work. I wanted to drive it but don't trust myself on the 22 year old tires, so I'm going to take the trailer. Already have a bunch of parts waiting, tires should be here today.
