Best I ever had on a long trip (less than 150 miles) was 29.6. My overall average is about 22.

I can get 26-27 on the highway if I really try. Around town? Couldn't tell ya, usually when I'm having fun so the average drops like a rock.

Just put mine up for the weekend Nothing but rain forecast for the next 3 days.... but drove it everyday this week to work. Averaged 15.9 around town ( still have stock chip w/ 1-4 shift ) but once I get on the highway, I get 26, if not close to 27 MPG.

I only take the car out when I want to play so it probably is doing 13 mpg. Every now and then I drive down to San Diego proper and it gets a 60 mi round trip which brings the mileage up to what you would expect. It still gets 24-25 mpg on the road.

One observation is that my C6 always gets better mpg like 1-2 mpg more for each comparable situation or drive type. I would venture the weight difference and less loss in the drivetrain.

Put the dashboard mpg readout in "instant"
then nail it in 1st gear and see what ya get!
So much for good gas mileage...
On the other hand, go 100 in 6th then drop it into
neutral and coast!

Regardless folks lets all remember this was the first Corvette to not receive the Gas Guzzler Tax.

And the car is still a blast to drive.

When driving long distance I know my Z has a longer range than my bladder. If I keep my foot under control it'll do 25 mpg or a little better.
