How is polishing a tb going to pick up power?

Re: Throttlebody work
It's not for increased power but to fix my sticking throttle.

Re: Throttlebody work
I got my TB and chip back. The car runs much smoother. He said my TB looked like a car with 100,000 miles on it. The tune is leaps and bounds better than what was on their initially. To think I have been driving it with this tune for so long. I thought it was just a clumsy running engine, that is not so. Idle is much improved as well.
I am still occasionally getting the high idle. If I stab the throttle it will come back down to where it should be instantly. Any suggestions on what I should look at next? IAC maybe?
