Relocating the MAT to the intake re-purposes it as an IAT. I've attached a screenshot of the SA MAT Retard table. It pulls up to 3* timing beginning at 180F intake air temp and 1* starting at about 150F.
You will only likely see that level of IAT sitting at idle. Once the car moves the intake air charge has less time to heat up. At WOT, the "transport" time for the air would be minimal and intake air temp would be closer to ambient. On a dyno, the intake air could heat up further since the car is not moving and ambient temps could be higher. Last edited by XfireZ51; 03-08-2024 at 03:10 PM. |
