I now also have a renewed faith in vice grips! Thanks for everyone's suggestions. It took a couple tries to get the vice grips to grip the fitting just right but it worked. Was able to tighten them up pretty good also but I'll know for sure when I bleed them tomorrow. Thanks again everyone!

Glad to hear it worked out Jim. I don't remember that kind of struggle on my 90 12 years ago. I hope I don't have this issue on my 95 since I want to do the same soon.

Brake lines are a pain in the butt. Having a good flare nut wrench is key. The ones from Harbor Frieght or auto parts stores will just flex and not stay rigid.

Thanks Craig! It was surely a pain! The right rear was frozen solid! The left rear not so bad. Hope to move to the front sometime this week!

I picked up a set of line wrenches, can't really see the difference in a flare nut wrench, they are Kobalt from Lowes. Seem to be pretty good quality. They would hold the nut tight but the nut was so frozen it just wouldn't budge. I had to take the vice grips and tighten them down hard as heck with my allen wrenches just to get it to break loose. What a pain!!!
