Air Intake Duct Keeps Coming Off

I used a very sophisticated technique. I turned on the ac for a second, then pulled the duct back off, and trimmed where the pulley cut it using a very sharp utility knife, like buttah. I just trimmed it in a curve to clear the pulley, nothing else.
