A piggy back board? I guess it has to mate with the one that's in there now correct?

That's what my mechanic was referring to....Excuse the lack of knowledge on this subject but,I guess his concern is that the new chip was suppose to mesh with a stock chip...He says since it looks like an aftermarket ( which it is) Hes not sure it will work the correct way..

Now what?

It does not 'mesh' with the stock chip. The stock chip is taken out of the ckt and the new chip replaces it. When Vinci was doing your chip the stock calibration was 'erased' using a UV eraser then the new calibration was burned onto the stock chip. I am running 2 of the piggy back units with no problem.

Same here. I use the Moates board in combination w my Ostrich emulator for months at a time.
Marc has done this for many years so I think your mechanic can forget his concerns frankly.

Thanks for all the helpful info....They did speak to Marc and he explained that his chip that he designed will over ride everything so it should be fine....I will be picking the car up later so I will know right away if it's good....

Vette73 do you have tools ? I may be able to "stop by" on my way to NYC Saturday and show you how to install the chip.

Hey Frank thank you so much for your kind offer...That's very good of you.....Actually they did contact marc today and from what I understand the chip is in and working properly..

It should be ready later- just getting a few odd and ends done so I will let everyone know how it is..

Thanks..
