I have owned a 55 chev BA 265 PP stick and OD since 1967. Past 30 years often not started for up to 6 months. I have always kept the tank filled, in garage no additives and never had problem. In 2004 at 258,000 miles I removed the tank and sending/fuel lines and the inside of the tank was spotless, very shinny. My motor cycles and mowers have always had tanks filled over the winter and no additives. Have thrown gas guard in occasionally after a long winter. I feel gas stabile is unnecessary. I do live in a very dry climate. Also very cold winters.

Thats good to hear about your 55NA, I'm about to put my 57 293 PP auto to bed for the Winter, sounds like a full tank is the way to go.
We have had Ethanol in our fuel since the early 90's. That stuff still makes me nervous about storage.

I store 4 or 5 Convettes, some for as long as a year.
Have been doing this for 40 years.

I remove negative cable to battery.
Install battery tender to battery
Put Sta-Bil Marine type in tank
Top gas tank
Put 45 lbs air in tires
Sometimes I fog each cylinder if stored longer
