Gotta love that CSI "Chicago Skunkworks Inc." (FBI) group. Here's your logo Pete!

Re: Time for Some Strong FBI Medicine
After Al broke his spindle a couple of years ago at BG, he started investigating more hardened spindles for his 441. He pretty much was the guy that came up w the combo of spindle/hub bearing you see Phil using here. Quite a few guys contribute to pushing the envelope here in the Windy. Some talented people who just don't know better.

Re: Time for Some Strong FBI Medicine
How's the Tru Trac unit ? I used them many years ago at the sand - mud 4X4 races and thought they were great. We used a Detroit Locker in the rear and a TT up front. Worked nice with lot of power.
The next problem on my car is going to be the spider gear's and the posi case. I cracked the stock spider gears once before. I think to avoid most of these parts is just coming out of the box a little easier on street sticky's instead of DR's.

Re: Time for Some Strong FBI Medicine
I read a magazine article stating the ZR-1 tranny was designed to take 425 hp. I guess once you start modding the car, there is no end to it.

Re: Time for Some Strong FBI Medicine
I saw this collection of ZR-1 porn at phil's place
my wallet winced in pain somehow I don't think phil will be coming out ez based on the spindles who gave their life for a better launch inquiring minds want to know, what rpm will you be leaving at? the dual disk will surely hold the power, and not be as friendly towards slipping I think my fidanza saves me a bit (albeit with a crappy launch" as it doen't dump as much inertia on the TT car, I gave up and went auto, 800 ft lbs didn't like clutches
