Re: What's your plate say?
I had "USA ZR1" in Oregon for 5 years then applied for and received
"USA ZR1" here in Washington 12yrs ago. Here is the final version of pics I've taken of all plates I've seen. Some of my favorites are: "KEY ON", "ZROOOM", "ZEE WHIZ" and of course the "USA ZR1" ones (three of them)

Re: What's your plate say?
I had a '70 Volvo with TX personalized tags and I think I paid either $20 or $25 extra at that time. Even that cost was "almost" unaffordable as my wife & I were both in grad school with two little rug rats to feed. Moved to Tennessee in '75 and gave up the tag (I think it's in a box somewhere in the garage now).
States that have a realistic pricing structure for their specialty tags can generate a LOT of extra revenue; but when the prices go over the top, I'm guessing the revenue goes WAY down ... so typical of decisions by our government bureaucracy. |

Re: What's your plate say?
Seeing all those custom plates sure brings back a lot of memories,Scott. I remember most of them and who owned those ZR-1's. Thanks for posting that.

Tags Plates License tags License plates it's all good. I know what you mean about "easy to remember". I use to have my last name as my plate on the 73 BB I had for 18yrs. Mistake. I received phone calls after a looooser beemer found out his "ultimate driving machine" was inferior I changed it to 73 VETT
