Hi Peter,

No I actually like the Aro's. If I had the kind of coin that Fisk's require I like those better than my fake A-molds!

I think that the Aro's with the highest polish or a chrome plate job would be the cat's a$$ on a black ZR-1! Can you say Darth Vader vette!

Tom, beer pockets with champagne taste!

Ok, I like that answer. And it's not like I'm loaded with $$$, but it's a matter of priorities. Guess we'll have to wait somewhat with the new washing machine.

Getting second thougts after recieving the figures from Fikse. Would cost around 5.200 (shipping, VAT and customs included). That's a bit too much I think.

Hey Pete that is some price tag! Man that's a lot of coin but they sure are purdy wheels! Quasar's suggestion is a bit more to my liking. I never thought to look at CCW. Nice stuff for sure!

Oh, congrats on the purchase!

Hi Tom.

Thank's. Right now my brain has gone into some kind of a spinn.

On one hand I think: The money for the Aro:s are ridiculous. I'll just stick with the original wheels and that's it.

On the other hand I think: But this is the car of my lifetime. And I think the Aro wheels would be perfect. I'll allways yearn for them if I don't get them, which will ruin some of the fun with the ZR-1. Besides, in a couple of years those money would be spent on god knows what anyway.

(And I did a slight miscalculation on the prize: it's 4.700 USD.)

I feel like a complete jerk. We'll see what it ends up to.

Peter

Hey Peter, congrats on the ride!

Wheels are expensive for sure, but if you can get a deal on them hopefully you can use the extra $$$$ for porting & polishing, headers, gears, etc.....the list goes on and on. Good luck!

Hi Peter,

Here's what I think about this wheel thing. Ya get what ya pay for! I have a black Z so I wanted some chrome to set the car off. I liked the A-mold style so I bought some 'budget minded' replicas....less than a thousand US $. They are okay with the build quality but....well I got what I paid for & in a few yrs I think I will have to get the chrome re-done correctly or toss them. Moral of the story....I think I should have looked to a higher quality builder.

I think you should just get your car delivered and sort it out if it needs anything and then if you run out of pressing issues save up for the quality wheels that you absolutely love. I did mine the other way around, kind of. My car came with the OEM rubber and that was the most pressing need so I figured 'need new shoes, might as well get some chrome wheels also!'. By going that route I spent on the rubber and cheaped out on the wheel.

Good luck & enjoy your new toy!
