I've used 3M adhesive remover in the past, not on the vette though and it worked well.

$288? Yikes, I've got the original piece and repaired the corners once or twice. Didn't someone have a small plastic L shaped insert available at one time to re-inforce the corners with glue?

I assume you want an NCRS correct part. If not I got mine from corvette central that is less likely to split in the forward lower corner that is commonly seen. I also read that the later factory weatherstripping (from, say, 1994 on) is superior to previous years.

288.00 and worth every penny. The corners are reinforced with L shaped plastic and its GM.

I got mine at Zip-Corvette.com for $99.00. Corners are heavily reinforced with hard L-shaped plastic.
