Re: Weatherstripping.
There is a link on my original post. Don't let the price scare you. I saw these in person.

Re: Weatherstripping.
It's tough to scare us Robert. But that picture of the seat bottom getting cleaned at the museum during the polishing event , now that was a bit frightening.

Re: Weatherstripping.
I need some stuff so thanks a bunch for doing the work on this stuff Robert!
I could bring some of the stuff I already have with me to Carlisle so we can do a comparo?? I have OEM door strips and I think I have Keen roof strips. I also have a Keen hatch & A-pillar/windshield header already installed. It might be interesting to have the three side by side, no? It would not be a corvette unless it leaked on you a bit, no??? LOL Or is that just British Leyland and FIAT???? I'll be there on Saturday. Leaving at Zero-dark-thirty & should be there at about mid morning or so....depending on traffic. Tom

Re: Weatherstripping.
I just had my rear hatch weatherstripping and struts replace by the dealer a couple of months ago. I noticed that the sharp corners were much thicker on the new stripping than on the old. Has GM redesigned this piece or is it an aftermarket item? I didn't ask the dealer at the time. Anyhow, it looks more durable.

Re: Weatherstripping.
Robert, I will bring the door strip and the roof strips.
John, I just searched a GM site for the lift glass weather strip, as they call it and it's officially N/A. Fwiw, I bought & stored an OE part for when mine finally gave up the ghost. I proly had it at least 4 yrs. The corners on my original strip were never very good at staying together. Anyway when I opened the sealed foil package the corners were already separated on the new piece. I used a Keen strip. Corners were much better construction than the 'new' OEM piece that fell apart before I had a chance to install it. It's been in service since 2010 and it's still doing just fine. Same thing happened to the A-pillar OE strip I had, I opened the foil package and the corners were separated. I used a Keen part there also. JMHO, don't worry as I think the aftermarket stuff is at least as good as the OE stuff. Tom

Re: Weatherstripping.
Nice work, Robert. Unfortunately, I have a full set from Keen in a box. Just waiting for the time to install. Still, good info.
