Re: My New-To-Me 94 ZR-1
Thanks guys for all the great comments! I just sold my 02C5 Vert that I poured my heart and soul into for about 6 years so that I could purchase this 94. I have always loved Corvettes of all years but have found myself drawn more and more to the C4's over the years...Maybe because they were the "New" Vettes whenever I was in my undergrad years and were what I was looking forward to owning one day. I just got back from taking her on her first cruise around town after a few days of detailing...Drew ALOT of attention! And man does that LT5 ever pull!!!
These are awesome machines and I'm glad to be a part of such a great group of car-nuts! Ive got alot to learn about the ZR-1 so be prepared for alot of questions. Thanks agian for all the nice comments! Jim |

Re: My New-To-Me 94 ZR-1
Jim,
Not sure what tuning has been done on yours but here's what mine does to tease you... first: shift at 59 mph, second, shift at 92 mph, third: shift at 125 mph, fourth around 140 or so, fifth.....better look for the cops. I always have to tell myself: remember to breath, remember to breath, remember to breath. There's a fair amount of overlap on these gears as well and she just pulls and pulls and pulls.....and I'm probably a bit less than 450 hp. Try a tuned one up in the 600 range.......it's betta yet. 110 is nothing for these cars, absolutely nothing.

Re: My New-To-Me 94 ZR-1
i dont hit 90 in second gear in mine, unless the speedo is off...the rev limiter hits at about 84.

Re: My New-To-Me 94 ZR-1
Lance, Im pretty positive mine is all stock minus the Corsa cat back. It only has 10.7k miles on it and the previous owner assures me that nothing has been done to the motor. I'm pretty sure it wont take me long before I'm itching for more power though! I'll try your rev instructions later this weekend!

Yeah.... I wish I had your car, and YOU had a feather in your underwear. We'd BOTH BE TICKLED! (Course, I'd have to do an engine swap...too much BS&Tears into mine to every let that puppy get away now!)
Welcome to the Brotherhood of the Beast! You now have something very rare; a DOHC Corvette. None other like 'em! P.

Re: My New-To-Me 94 ZR-1
With it only having 9500 miles I really think you should go back to your stock exhaust. I really do. And, of course, I might entertain the thought of buying your Corsa for the Blue Beast. Just sayin'...
