Ron K,
Charlie lives just north of me in Ellicott City, if you can drop off the crank at my other place in Alexandria, I can relay it to Charlie on the way back to Columbia and save you both a trip. LMK, Jeff |

sure,
I was there Sat morning and they had a poster out and handout flyers Sat, May 4th, 8:30-9:30 Dave Mclellan Corvette Chief Engineer 75-92 for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of meeting Dave he's one of the nicest and most "approachable" Corvette engineer and a key factor in getting the ZR-1 through the bean counters. His unwavering commitment to excellence, made the ZR-1 a "no compromise" vehicle that performed with the worlds finest at the time regardless of price and put the corvette on the map as more than competitive with any of the exotics costing many times the price in many ways, his efforts "raised the bar" for all corvette's that followed and truly began the widespread quality control, CNC machining, and use of advanced aluminum engines with super tight tolerances and durability testing I'm very glad to say Dave is my friend and I really look forward to seeing him He's attended a very high percentage of the gatherings and continues to work on some very advanced engineering projects today being involved with Mosler and other advanced efforts. if you haven't read his book, I highly recommend you pick up a copy for him to autograph, my bet is that he'll have a stash of them there at a discounted price Dave is the proud "father of the ZR-1" and has some really great stories to tell both in his book and in person. come on out. |

Will do Ron...
Had the Hemi RR out this past weekend and went to the Marley Station cruise in Glen Burnie, was jam packed with a little bit of everything, guy parked next to me had a 67 Vette Coupe with a LS-9 in it along with the late model suspension, that thing was neat as hell.., He brought a gun to a stick fight! You need to bring the Firechicken up there sometime. Gibby |

that would be fun stuff! Charlie is going out to cars and coffee on Sat so I'll bring the crank. if for any reason he can't make it I'll hook up with you sometime this weekend.
thanks Gibby, really enjoyed the ride in the Hemi, I need to get a ride in the Jeal! we need to get that bad boy to the track someday soon. I have a set of hoosiers I need to "use up" if you need to borrow them. weather should be good very soon. sorry I couldn't make the Mason Dixon digs, sounds like that was a great day. Phil turned a 12.08 which is very impressive for his 95 which is pretty close to stock I believe. |
