Racing Rules And Regulations
• Helmet required (D.O.T. or Snell rated) ten years or newer. • Full covered shoe wear required. • No shorts, no sandals permitted. All vehicles must have tech inspection form completed, prior to entering Tech lane. • All vehicles must go through tech inspection. • Convertibles must have factory rollover protection. Please contact us if you are unsure if your car has this option. • Only convertibles with a cage & 5 point safety harness will be allowed to run top down if participant chooses. • Alternative fuels to gasoline and diesel must be reported to our crew, for submission to rescue personnel. Example: Methanol, Alcohol, Nitrous, etc. • Your vehicle assigned number must be visible at right upper corner of your windshield and right rear corner

March Hot Rod magazine has an article
on Snell SA2010 certified helmets. There's 6 listed all less than $400. Least $ is by G-Force @ $199 |

Picked up a HJC, Snell 2010 rated for $138 yesterday. Now to ge some tires and open my TB. This is exciting!

Its all about fitment, rating & safety, not $, Its your head/safety
Rules for this seem relaxed, check those tires for dates, cracks, pressure, no blowouts please at 150 aprox |

True dat.
Also highly recommend tight hubs. While free play up to .005" is ok per FSM at 150mph when you need brakes you do not want runout from hub vibe. As I seem to have become highly experienced in hub life cycles I did once find a bumpy brake zone plus a tired hub allowed a caliper to hop the pin and become intimate with the inside of the wheel. Good news was this happened at 35mph. Cheers, - Jeff
