This is the site I bought it from

and yes the older model Z's will have 12pin, the later model Z's could have 12 or 16 pin. You have to look at the connector to be sure on the later model ones.

I use "Datamaster" for my 1991 Syclone and LOVE it ... real time data for every parameter of the engine you could think of.

Looks like I may pick this up now too if this is the only option we have for the ZR-1 ---

Datamaster should do your ZR-1 also. You should have no need for anything else. Use what you're familiar with. If you own the Datamaster for your Scyclone then you only probably need to buy the ZR-1. Maybe $40. I'm not real familiar with it but I'm quite sure thats the way it is.

And besides you understand it and I believe it's a much more manageable program. The first hit is steep, but you've got all the cables etc that you need.

Should you need an ECM for your Scyclone I believe I have new in box for it

I don't know about presently but I'm quite sure Marc H used Diacom because I sent my Diacom program to a fellow so he could send Marc logs that he generated with it to finalize the tune on his 415.

The only fault with the Diacom is that it requires a serial port although I've never tried a USB to serial converter and it is slow. I have an older 600 ThinkPad that it is on and I've not used it in quite some time, a very long time. I need to replace the screen and it's been apart for quite some time. I've a Tech1 also.

If you've a very old laptop with serial port you might consider this:

Started digging into the programs, this software is not for the computer illiterate, lol. The dyno and acceleration tests are only for OBD II cars. Thought all the features were interchangeable. It does a have a dashboard and datalogging features for OBD I plus reading DTC and clearing codes. I'm bummed about not being able to use the dyno feature on the Z. Guess I'll have to buy an OBD II Corvette.
