Black goes with any color. Just don't paint your engine black. It gets lost in there if you do. Also, some hot tips for you when painting (or powder coating) is to get bits done that you see such as the water pipe in front, the hard lines running down the side, the mount for the alternator. Look at what you can see on the motor in the car before tearing it down so you can note what to do and what color to paint it. I do the hard lines different colors than the motor with the front water pipe the same color. Just think about what you want.
