C6 Z06 brakes are very pricey.... If you go "cheap", they are 2k. C5/C6 brakes are a great value @ under $600. David |

Re: Big Brakes Needed
I just want to get an idea of what I need to buy next month at Carlisle. I plan on spending some serious $$$ on everthing I need ZR1. I want GM bigger brakes on the 92 project car. It would be nice to buy everything I need while I'm there.
I also need a perfect hood and front bumper assembly.

Re: Big Brakes Needed
Wilwood 6 piston in the front. I think 4 piston in the rear.

I'm contemplating what to do. I just looked at the C5 Z06 calipers on ebay and the brackets for them. About $600 for that setup. Brembos are intriguing though.

I've been keeping an eye on them because I have a friend with a C6 in the market for them. To the OP, it is the 14" rotor diameter and the fact that your wheels are only 17" in diameter that makes them unlikely to work. Not any kind of spoke to caliper clearance.

You can also use C5 regular calipers or C6 regular calipers, to keep your options open when going used. Is the upgrade for looks? Or for more braking capacity?

Re: Big Brakes Needed
AUrora40, thanks. Actually looks and performance. Mostly looks though. I like the looks of a 2 piece rotor, drilled/slotted. I am understanding that a 13" rotor is my max size with the 17" Dymags. I'm ok with that.
May do the brackets and C5Z06 calipers.
