Re: Lost my hero this morning...........
John, Bryan, Scott and Cruz thanks for the kind thoughts.
It might be the cycle of life but it still sucks. If I can turn out to be half the man he was I'll be fortunate. I'll miss him forever

I too am sorry for your loss Carter. My parents have been gone many years now. However, they do stay with you in many ways. Take care.

Re: Lost my hero this morning...........
My condolences to you and your family.
Here is the traditional Irish prayer used by our family for your father. In Memory of Edward J. Thompson God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. RIP Edward J. (Tommy) Thompson JIM ` My mother has been ill for the last month, hence the reason I have not been on the forum as much. She just passed away last week at home with family and friends, so I know what you are going through. Yes we keep a stiff upper lip as we were raised to do, but a part of us will never be the same.

Re: Lost my hero this morning...........
I am so sorry for your loss. Your words hit home and are so true. There is a big hole in my heart and it'll take a long time to heal, if ever. I miss him so much and he was indeed my hero. If I accomplish 1/2 the greatness he did and become 1/2 the man he was I'll be truely blessed.
Thanks again the prayer was spot on!
