I do have one that I can take to a trailer manufacturer that lives by me and can get a price if we have enough members that are interested.

I remember seeing a pic of a DRM GS that had a really nice looking polished spare tire delete bracket. Thought it looked pretty slick. Been thinking of removing my spare to expose the rear suspension components and get them all cleaned up and detailed. Wonder how visible the bracket really would be and how much it would cover. Ill try to find the pic I had and will post it up.

Rick is right, there is an aftermarket option. I do have an OEM NOS that I will sell when I get back to Hawaii since it does not fit the early model Zs.

Here is the info on the one from CorvetteNutz:

these spare tire delete brackets are NOT a simple bolt on process. for 90-93's you have to remove the rear bumper cover, for 93-95 you have to drill holes to attach it. i had a couple of these but decided not to install since i didn't want to butcher my cars

That is interesting and no wonder I did not install the OEM one on my 90 MY. All I did was put it up there to see and it was clear to me the frame is a little different based on the photos I saw installed on later model with the spare tire delete option from the factory.

The aftermarket one from CorvetteNutz was very easy to install. I guess Rick could chime in on the OEM one he installed on his 95 MY (blinged out with custom graphics I might add). I have no idea what it would do it called up in a rear collision versus a spare tire and hope I never find out.

This is the pic of the one I had saved on my desktop. Not sure if its the one mentioned from CorvetteNutz but I think it looks pretty good and will probably go this route sometime in the future myself. Does anybody recognize who makes this one? Is it CorvetteNutz?

Jim,

That is the OEM one and being you have a 94, you should be good to go with that one if you can locate one. I will have one for sale later next year once I get to all my items in storage and get back to Hawaii. That OEM item is like finding a Unicorn these days.
