Re: Plenum Pull: problems and questions
Well, after lots of struggling with the 2 broken bolts I was able to get them out. One of them I just had to drill out. Once enough material was removed with the drill I was able to pull it out. The other one I was able to work long enough with some PB blaster and vice grips that it started to move. Then I was able to unscrew it.
Now I can get back to checking all the rest of the vacuum lines and cleaning some stuff up. I have ordered a bunch of stuff from Jerry's gaskets. I ordered some MSD coils from Jegs. I just need to order some injectors from FIC now. Can't wait to get this thing back together. |

Re: Plenum Pull: problems and questions
I just got done with mine and I used the Lucas injectors fromficonnection. It runs so much smoother and starts up right away now. You could tell it ran a touch rough on mine though- sometimes the dual mass flywheel even clattered.
4 of my injectors were bad (low ohms) and even missed when they got hot, but I would not necessarily toss your late model ones until you check them out. |

Secondary control solenoids come up from time to time too. If Jerry doesn't have one and you can't wait try Kurt White.
