Got the new regulator today from RockAuto - it's a KEM part, and it's clearly the identical casting to stock, even has the same letters stamped into it in the same places. Here's some pics:

Around $70 from RockAuto, it was marked down as a wholesaler closeout. They also have an Airtex/Wells unit, more expensive, I'd guess it's probably the same casting too after seeing this one.

Like Vettemed stated, adjustment screw in the center of the hat. Not sure about the different spring rates or range of adjustment. Just bought it off Ebay last year or so. I called LPE back then but the guy did not know much about it. I'm sure Graham Behan would know all about it; maybe developed it?

Installed the new FPR today, with some of Jerry's viton o-rings. Interestingly, the 2 metal fuel pipes that run from the junction block where the rubber lines run into, seem to be a permanent press-fit. There were 2 o-rings that I didn't use, so I am wondering if that was a change made to the design at some point? Can anyone confirm or deny?

Everything went together perfectly otherwise, and my crappy Fuel pressure gauge read 48-49psi with key-on, engine off. No leaks!

Sounds like all went very well for you.

There are permenant pipe connections that do not come apart for seals. The reason there are 9 seals in the pkg is because the same o-rings are also used at the fuel feed & return block (2 seals), bringing the total to 9.

I also sell the fuel feed & return block seals (pkg of 2) separate, for replacement with random plenum pulls.

Got the plenum back on this morning, fuel pressure reading around 43psi at idle, with vacuum hose connected. Jumps to about 51-52psi with vacuum hose removed at idle.
