Thanks for asking. Not terribly surprised though. The part has been discontinued for quite some time and from all accounts was a bad design from the get go. TomC 'Crabs

I called them today, it's not a stock item, they have to get it from somewhere else. Autozone also offers a replacement (probably the same manufacturer) and they want $68 for and it's also a special order item. Neither supplier (Rock Auto & Autozone) offer a warranty on electrical items, if I plug it in and it: A. doesn't work B. burns up like the original did C. doesn't fix the fault I'm out of luck and out at least $60. Not that I can't afford it, I'm just a cheap bastage and don't want to waste the money if I don't have to. I called Haibec this afternoon and he's seen at least 3 of these over the years. He told me it wasn't worth the trouble trying to locate an OEM part that was crappy to start with. He suggested that since I wasn't a NCRS kind of guy that I get creative and that I use a modern relay in the old ones place. The unique part of the old Bosch relay is its base which has funky thick pins for contacts and more importantly is that it's no longer made. What I plan on doing is to gut the old relay, drill into the back sides of the pins and solder wires into them. I will then crimp on spade connectors to the other end of the wires. Then plug in a modern spade lug 30a relay which are reliable, cheap and plentiful. I've got plenty of heat shrink tubing and black tape to dress everything up so that it looks at least as good a factory hack job. And yes Dynomite (I know you'll be asking) I plan on documenting what I am doing and I'll be sure to take lots and lots of pictures. (lets just hope my diagnosis is correct and that my cure really is a cure) TomC 'Crabs

Appreciate the offer. I plan to get to get started on my proposed mod this weekend, depending on how well it goes, I may or may not need your relay. TomC 'Crabs

ABS Code 63 solved!!
How to fix Code 63, ABS Solenoid Relay failure.
The original Bosch relay was a bad design and has been discontinued for years. I opted to replace the original with a new style unit which is much cheaper and has a lifetime guarantee. Remove the solenoid relay, it lives on top of the ABS pump which is located underneath the package tray behind the drivers seat. It looks like this: Pry off the metal cover with small screwdriver: Relay exposed: Use dremmel and cutting wheel to remove the guts: Drill the back sides of the contact pins being careful not to drill out the rivet that holds the pin to the plastic base. Solder wires into holes drilled into pins: Continued.....

Re: Need ABS Solenoid Relay
Using dremmel grind hole in the side of the old relay to run the wires out:
I put a small piece of tygon tubing to protect the wires from chaffing on the sides of the hole in the relay cover: Crimped and soldered spade lugs for the new relay & quick mount base. I also back filled the tygon tubing with black silicone sealant to protect the wires and seal up the relay: Finished product: Installed into the ABS pump: Used Tech One to clear the codes and no more problems.
