Re: Corsa Exhaust
i also thought the corsa might be restrictive. it was on my car when i got it. the car came with the factory exhaust which i cobbled together removing the resonator and the mufflers . i put in a 3in xpipe and 3 in super turbo mufflers with dual outlets to keep the stock look. i found that i dropped 3tenths and gained almost 2mph over the corsa . dont get me wrong the corsa is a nicely thought out system. i really wasnt looking to replace it when i did the other exhaust till i found it made a pretty decent increase in pwer and was as quiet if not quieter than the corsa . so i sold the corsa .

Question: Are the outlet tubes on your tubo muffs long enough to insert a vacuum actuated (e.g., C6-type) flapper? I believe the flapper tube section is approx. 2 to 2-1/2 inches long.) Nuther Question: Did you replace just the Corsa muffs or was the entire cat-back exhaust a Corsa system? One more Q: Resonance? Thanks for posting. (You might guess I've got a hybrid system too; mostly SW and 3" exclusively except for the inlet to the muffs = 2-1/2") P.

Re: Corsa Exhaust
Lee,
Hans still has the Corsa on his 90. I don't recall that his outlet was blocked. |

Re: Corsa Exhaust
Maybe 2.5 gets it done, would be interesting to take 1 car and just swap the exhaust between Dyno runs.

Re: Corsa Exhaust
whar i did was to use the stk pipingafyer th headers and plum in a 3in spipe from summit (the narrow one in the cat) and then continuing the stk piping to the 3 in super turbo mufflers with dual exits ,cut off the dual tips from the stk exhaust and put them on so it looks stk . i used the super turbo muffler after talking with an exhaust guy, saying that the turbo style mufflers dont give that drone we hate . i am going to try 21.2 in super turbo mufflers to see if i can quiet it down just a little more . from what i have read the 21/2 in openings in the mufflers might not cause any performance loss as they are so far back. hopefully i can get to it this week and try it next weekend when i go to the strip at sacramento on sat

Re: Corsa Exhaust
I've read Marc's notes. My yellow car had his top end package with a Corsa and hogged out h- pipe. I changed it to a b&b with x-pipe-- hit the rev limiter twice. It rev'd faster!
