You can measure the resistance of you own key Take an ohm meter and measure across the little gold chip inside the black area in center of key.....measure from one side to the other Last edited by Dynomite; 08-27-2010 at 07:27 PM. |

Re: help on keys
Damn Dynomite, If you had code #8 I could get you an ignition key for under $10.00.
I might be able to get code #7, I'm checking into it for you. |

Re: help on keys
I'm not sure what #'s I have. I have multiple sets on my Corvettes except for my 93, I only have 1 set and that rarely gets driven. I'm going check all mine this week.
I do have an extra ignition key for #14 but I highly doubt any of my cars are #14. Also, its not 100% perfect, it has GM logo on one side and cadillac on the other although I'm sure it would work fine regardless. If anybody wants to post up their Numbers I could probably get a cheaper rate if we buy multiple keys etc. |

Re: help on keys
Check at a GM dealer. I think most any of them can make a key for around $25 or so. I got a blank off ebay for $12 and then took it to Wally World. They cut the new one and it worked fine.

Re: help on keys
So a hooker has a set of keys for your car? Bye, bye car. Change some locks instead.
