Seeing that mine is hardly a NCRS car, I will save the extra $$$ and get from Mid-America. Thanks............

I have an OEM set on my red Z. I'll try to post a photo.

I may be interested in having a pair restored. Exactly what does a restoration include. Do they repaint and stencil the barrels? I noticed some surface problems under the paint.

I may also have a set from an early 1986 C4 which I may also consider would they count.

Sorry for all the questions, John

I'm in. My 90 works sometimes, sometimes not. I need to do a PV next year and bad struts would screw the pooch

I just replaced mine. I will take some pictures later today of the ones that came off which I believe are factory and the replacements I bought from CC.

A word about the replacements, they are not really left and right...they are one size fits both sides and as a result the electrical connection at the right strut does not face the correct direction. The wire from the window grid will eventually break off the grid due to this....well mine did anyway and it's going to be a real PIA to re-solder it to the grid. You will have to add some wire length, not much but some to relieve the strain from the spade connector being on the wrong side of the strut.

Questions are good!
Basically a rebuild of the internals (seals, piston etc), replace bent rod (if it is in such condition) and recharging. I do not believe they re-stencil.

Absolutely yes to 86 C4 gas springs....will include

Looks like we only have 4 of us interested (DMark, Aurora40, Vettn71 and me)... we are shy by one for the minimum. If you all confirm again your interest I will chat with LS Technologies folks and see if they would hold the discounted price for us. Let me know...

I just bought a new OEM set from the dealer for $120.Those looking for the cheap replacements need to know some places sell a strut while the OEMs are left and right. With the short plug wires for the defroster its next to impossible to get the plug to reach the connector on the non specific strut.

Jeff I got my set for 117 but it does not have the blue writing GS etc.
Does yours have the writing on them?

Also did yours go in without an issues or were they different then factory?

I'm deciding on whether to return them or not.
