I think there is a possibility that the NCRS is wrong about that. Ted Dempsey sent me a photograph of an original oil filter for one of his 95's and it was the PF970, NO "C". it's exactly like the one in the post by rgfllamas.

These are laser printed on a peel and stick silver/gray plastic material.

Now the next question is, are they only correct for 90's? Should 91's have the "C'? Discussions here in the forum seem to indicated this is the correct factory installed filter but the NCRS judging manual seems to indicate it should the the "C".

We just have to pick a time and all get together--seems we're all scattered to the wind.

Here's a couple more pics, one on a Wix filter installed in the car the other is on a Bosch filter.

Any of you that are interested just PM me. Basically, cover my cost to print them up and postage and I'll send them out. I print them in a block of 4 and figure $5 should cover it.

Next issue.... the pics of the original AC Delco filters look like a "tall" filter, like the Wix. It measures about 4" but isn't fluted at the top. The fluted filters I've found, the Bosch and Purolator are shorter, like 3.5". Is there a decent 4" fluted top filter??
