This statement couldn't be farther from the truth. Seriously, i have met some of the nicest people in my many days, through corvette ownership.

Corvette owners tend to go the extra mile, to help hands on, or anwser
questions, opening their homes, and wallets, it is quite unique in the car world. you can mod any car, to be fast. The only thing stopping you is you're bank account. I'm proud to be part of this group, of misfits.

Thanks guys, just different for me than the sideways hat wearing honda hard look, and v-tec revs I am used to.

Where in stl can I get a knowledgable person on these cars to take a look at it just to cover the basics with me, and get me started?

Just take it up to Marc Haibeck in Addison, IL. just west of Chicago. Marc is the best there is and a straight shooter. It will be well worth the time and effort. There are only a handfull of guys around the country that know what they're doing on these cars, particularly the engine. Your lucky to be so close the Marc.

Order up one of Han's LT5 engraved throttle body plates while you're at it.

I cannot do that, but I appreciate the information. I refuse to do business with any Illinois company, and I completely avoid the state, even when it means travelling out of my way to do so. I dispise the politics, their refusal to accept the Bill of Rights of our Constitution, and even our basic fundamental rights from God.

I am sure he is a great guy, but I refuse to alter my own moral compass, even when it creates complications.

Thanks again.

OK, so you won't be visiting Marc Haibec just because he chooses to live in Illinois.
Politics aside, believe me when I say this, it is your loss.

Marc is one of the best ZR1/LT5 tuners in the country and he lives only a short distance from you.
I would KILL to have him that close to me.
I'd probably be broke from all the mods I'd have him do to my Z, but I'd be one happy guy!!

The LT5 engraved Throttle Body plate comes from Hans "CCMANO", he was the one who posted first about Marc Haibec.
He lives in California.
Hopefully California isn't on your moral compass $hit list, although I can think of many reasons as to why it should be......

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.K. I think were done here boys and girls.......................dont anybody mention Obama. On a side note to the OP,as stated there are a handful of people as in maybe 6 that know these cars just as well as the people that built them and Marc Haibeck happens to be one of them.If you want to go it alone, head on.
