Re: Info on ZR-1's in Spain!
Easy now.
I don't know anything about living there, never been, but would like to go some day. I have met and corresponded with some really nice Spanish ZR-1 guys. They have extended warm & sincere friendship and open invitations to visit. That's really all this thread is about, fellow ZR-1 people.

woah!!!!!!
I have met many of our ZR-1 brothers from Spain and got nothing but unbelievable hospitality! Trust me, if you come to Corvettes of Carlisle or BG and meet them, you will agree! David Last edited by Z Factor; 10-24-2010 at 11:55 PM. Reason: Quote removed |

OldVetteDude you've crossed a line here.
This forum is a special place and we all work hard to keep it that way. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, perhaps you deserved it, perhaps not. That's not the issue here. If you were half a decent man you would edit your post, and apologize to our Brothers from across the pond. They've done nothing to deserve your prejudice. I'm personally offended because my spouse of 28 years is a Spaniard. I'm sure she could add a few nice words to this conversation. I'm sure she wouldn't be as polite as I have been. TomC 'Crabs

OLDVETTEDUTE you are totally off the chart...your post is offensive at best and if this your contribution to this forum then you need to move on

Re: Info on ZR-1's in Spain!
I was in Spain (old port city of Cadiz) three weeks ago on business and was thoroughly impressed by the history of the place and the wonderful friendly people. Food & drink was great to. If you recall your history lessons Cadiz is the port Christopher Columbus sailed from back in the day. I hope one day to go back to Spain with the wife and kids and spend a couple weeks touring around. I have also had the pleasure to meet a few of our Spanish Z brothers at Carlisle and you could not find a better group of gentilmen who are just as passionate about their Vettes as any of us in the new world are. Hell, if it weren't for the Spaniards finding this place 500 years ago most of us might still be back in old Europe pulling one another around in ox carts.

The more I remember about that car the more I realize I'm wrong. It was David Lancer and it was actually France--Monacco. Was in Moron and Seville once and always associated that car with that area. Ted |
