Thanks for all the kind words guys. Bob (Warp Ten), I used Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish on all the aluminum parts I could get my fingers on. But, the process went like this. 1st - scrape off all the crude with a plastic putty knife. 2nd - soak with degreaser and rub off remaining crap (x2). 3rd - Scrub/Rub down everything with 00 steel wool. 4th - polish with the Mothers. Oh I forgot ! at least 1 adult beverage of choice between each step. Spent alot of hrs. on the car this winter but the satisfaction value is priceless. I know this will sound corny but it was like I could almost hear the car thanking me after I completed each project on her. Pics. are before and after ( with no new parts ). Crazy !
David, also great to know about your car in Ohio, is it a 90 or 91 ? I'm trying to get things arranged to make the BG get together in May, are you going ?
