That is a double D exhaust if no one caught it. I looked through all of my receipts. When the Double D exhaust was available from Callaway it was $1290.00

That also could be Flowmaster exhaust, it had the same style tips

Whatever it is, it sounded nice when I started it up. Engine looked average last summer.

Great feedback...is what this rookie needs to make a good decision. Is the weater stripping hard to install correctly when replacing? Also, the 4" crack like that hard to repair on these cars? Do the motor pictures help evaluate its condition? I have read is to be very careful how you clean the engine since the finish is not very durable.

The engine finish isn't too delicate but care must be takin when cleaning it up.I only wipe mine with Windex and the engine is stone cold, not even warm. The WS is a hassle to deal with but finding OEM WS is the biggest challenge .

With those few miles, and at that price, I think it is very much worth having a look. If there is a Registry member close by that can meet you, or better yet, preview the car before you decide to make the trip...

Tell us what you can about the cracked hood. (For reference sake, I bought a replacement hood for my car last spring for $750, and then it had to be painted too. So, That will give you an idea of the value deducted to replace the hood, if need be: about $1,000 ish installed, I'd guess.) I think Brett would be an excellent source to advise you whether to fix or replace the hood. And, he can give you a very good estimate on the cost to repair it, if it isn't in a crucial strength location as well.

The Maestro himself, fixing a crack in my replacement bumper. Brett also repaired a 3-foot long crack in the driver's side rocker panel that I would have thought was beyond repair. He is a true artist!!

Keith,
I know Southwest has great deals between Nashville and BWI. I live only 20 minutes away from BWI. If I am in town, would be my pleasure to pick you up and transport to the dealership. If the skies are clear, we will travel in #246. If other Wazoo are around, sure they will be able to meet up with us as well. My suggestion is to call the dealership and make sure the car is ready to test drive and also clean so we can see the condition of the paint. Like I stated before, they completely wasted an afternoon last summer.

Charlie,

Thanks, my corporate office is in Annapolis so am in out of BWI often. I would appreciate an experienced ZR-1 owner looking over a prospective car. I have a call on another ZR-1 this weekend but if it does not work out I will be back in the area week of Jan. 5. If it works outs with your schedule would appeciate any help or just to see #246.

definitely flowmaster cat back exhaust. this was a florida car that was a no sale on ebay. they may have fixed some of the leather in the drivers door seat lumbar supports. this car has been for sale for a long time.18,900 is good depending if everything else is ok. I think ebay had a pic of the engine and it seemed kind of dull. I would not pay over 18k for this car.
