Re: Chilly Today
Weather's been a lot better lately. more or less been around 0ºC/32ºF. I'll take that for this time of year. only four more months & a guy will be cruising

Re: Chilly Today
Around 4 and sunny in Toronto. Driveway almost dry. Was getting the itch to pull her out and start her up today.

Re: Chilly Today
+8 C today in Southwestern Ont. Smells like spring. It was actually nice enough to open the garage and do my biweekly start-up in the driveway today.
I also used the low-profile "Race Ramps" for the first time today (change out the 2008 AMSOIL for a fresh batch), and I am impressed with these ramps. They don't slide when raising the car, and they provide plenty of clearance to do minor work to the front 1/3-1/2 portion of the car. They aren't a substitute for a Snap-On Lift, but perhaps the next best thing. Can't wait for spring. |

ZR1North,
Where can you buy the 'race ramps' in Canada? |

Re: Chilly Today
I bought my ramps from Corvette Central - couldn't find any in Canada. At least with CC they figure in all the duty etc.
My question is where do you find the Amsoil? I found 10w30 in a couple of local stores but no 10w40. We got up to +4 yesterday but its back down to -10 today. I'm getting ZR-1 withdrawal.

Re: Chilly Today
Bought my Race Ramps at Mid America (part # 118-125) - $199US.
AMSOIL is now available at most "Parts Source" stores. Be careful to look for the "Premimum Protection" version of the 10-40 Synthetic. It is a little more difficult to get than another version of the 10-40 Syn also avail. Both are good, but the PP scored higher in the friction tests (ref Marc Heibec's site). My local Parts Source can order the Permium Protection variety and have it in a week - about $10.00 a liter. bl |

Re: Chilly Today
We have a couple of Parts Source stores in town, I'll check with them and see if I can order some. Thanks for the info.
