From memory...I didn't think to write them down... So, IIRC,

Kevin's best was 10.5x sec. at 130.x mph with a 60' around 1.5xx ±
Bob's best was 11.03 (right, Bob??) at 129
And Dominic's car ran 12.4 at 118ish w/ Bob G rowing the gears.

I'm meeting with Bill (CPCC pres.) on Friday (tentatively) and perhaps get the details then.

Pix to follow!

An amazing accomplishment considering not only the current state of the competition but also the small number of brethren representing us. I had the good fortune of joining you several years ago and enjoyed a fantastic day of racing. Thanks for keeping the winning tradition going!

This is one of Bob Gilligs runs. He's usually in the 10s, but the car was having an issue in the higher rpm last Sunday...

The LAUNCH!

11.6x sec., but 114.xx mph? Seems outa whack...

But, anyway, I wonder if the guy in the left lane is at the 1/8th mile yet!?

This may have been Bob's "money run"...

Lee Gaffgan's winning (?) run...

Turns in a good run in DA 3000' air (NA w/o nitrous) a 12.578 @ 115.64 mph (the decimals weren't working on the right lane, apparently)

We needed a little "insurance". So Dominic handed Bob Gillig the keys to his "Black Rose", and Bob's expertise wrung out a nice 12.4 @ 118.86 to give the FBI the quickest 3-car aggregate...and the team trophy, once again! IIRC, this makes it SIX out of the 10 years of this event that the ZR-1/FBI team has reigned supreme in Chicagoland!

Once again this year the prize goes to the ZR-1s!!

It might have been more, IF we'd known about the shootout in 07; we didn't attend that year. 2008 was our first time out, but we didn't register with the host club - not realizing until afterward that Pete, Dominic and I had the best 3-car agg...dang! That makes two missed opportunities. And, one year, rather than the fastest 3-car agg, the team trophy was awarded according to BRACKET racing results instead... We had the fastest agg, but for naught. That's 3. And, one year Murphy was riding "shotgun" with us and there was a plethora of breakdowns, including a broken spindle and a differential clutch pack went bad on one car, Kevin's car developed a plugged oil intake resulting in a cooked motor, my LT5's coolant punched through a thin spot as result of the porting done the previous winter...it was a BAAAD year!!

And, last year the shootout was suspended due to "track conditions". So, we kept the trophy another year - kinda made up for the BRACKET racing fiasco, I guess. But, point is, the ZR-1s have been a force to be reckoned with - in spite of being "antique" technology - to some, anyway! LONG LIVE THE KING!!

Paul,

No pics of Bob driving my car? He ran a 12.4 @ 118.86 w it. Think it contributed to the win.

Thanks Paul, it's inspiring. Is there any video on the way?....pleeeeeze

Another thing, it would be helpful for those of us who don't know any details of how these cars are set up, to give us a quick rundown on mods, (and maybe, dyno readings if they have them). Otherwise, the times and speeds are a lot less meaningful.

And....Where was "The Greek"?

Thanks, Bob.
