Octane rating as well as price does affect my choices, but down here the highest octane is 93 unless you go to the airport.

I buy most of my gas from Citgo lately since their premium (93) is the lowest around. Strangely, it is only a few cents more than their midgrade or regular. I paid $2.31 last tank full compared with $2.59 at most other stations.

I like Chevron, and I try to use it exclusively in my ZR-1. Shell seems OK too. Coscto.... and that's why I only put it in my Mercedes.
