Not sure of anything at this point will see how the new GM's do and will try and see if any mods. I know a just retired 27 year chev. guy and maybe he can find out if there are any improvements will let you know.

A *lot* of people have had problems with these injectors, it simply was a crappy design. Who knows, maybe they've updated it, maybe not. I've sent an eMail to AC-Delco, asked if they had updated the design to be resistant to ethanol. We'll see. TomC '90ZR1 #792

Make sure to tell them the application, i.e., ZR1, and that you're a member of the forum. We get a discount. TomC '90ZR1 #792

Re: 90 zr1 injectors
Just now got off of the phone with AC-Delco tech support.
AC-Delco has NEVER updated the design of this particular fuel injector to make it compatable with today's fuel. Nor do they intend to EVER update the design or construction of this particular injector. Their official stance is that the injector worked for the application it was designed for. It's not their fault that todays gas is different than the gas 16 years ago. They are not responsible for damage caused by people using "improper" gasoline in their cars. Bottom line: If you put new OEM AC-Delco fuel injectors in your ZR1... THEY WILL FAIL. And AC-Delco does not care. Your car, your money, your decision. TomC '90ZR1 #792

Also, there is no more discount. It's just a flat price at the discounted rate. You don't have to be a member of the registry. |

Re: 90 zr1 injectors
There is a post today I believe on Corvette Forum regarding injectors. The poster said GM tech told him they were not making AC/Delco injectors for the ZR1 for todays fuels and would not in the future.
Might want to consider RC's. |

Re: 90 zr1 injectors
Hopefully you checked out Fuel Injection Connection. Bosch injectors w/stainless guts, matched flow and pattern, comes with necessary o-rings - $350 per set of 16. Talked to Jon and was a great guy to work with, answering questions and explaining why these are the ones to go with.
