I just did a look through the 90 to 92 ZR-1 Owners Manuals and found out something that I didn't know. Apparently, the 90 ZR-1 did not have a wheel wrench extension. There is a clip at the back of the console that holds the wheel lock nut. In the 91 ZR-1 manual, there is a picture of the wheel wrench extension and the wheel lock nut in an elastic sleeve that is Velcroed inside the console. In the 92 and on manuals, there is a holder for the wheel lock nut as the manuals are the zip-up kind vs the 90 and 91 manuals. There is an elastic sleeve in both of my cars that held the wheel wrench extension.

The 92-93 NCRS manual shows the contents of the center console and list them. The wheel lock nut and the wheel wrench extension look the exact same except for the ribbed inside for the wheel lock nut.

According to Betty at the NCM, the wheel lock bag, the owner's manual and the wheel wrench extension were put in the car by the dealers and not at the assembly plant. The last ZR-1, that the museum has, does not have those contents. Console is empty.

The only thing behind the drivers seat is the wrench to jack up the car. I didn't look but I think that has been relocated in the later Z's. I only had the 92, 93 and 95 ZR-1's.

I hope that helps.

My car's a 90.

Yes, although the Altoids are optional in some cars and not necessarily restricted to ZR-1's as well as the the cigarette lighter. The wheel wrench extension should have a elastic holder that is at the back of the console. In the 92 and on ZR-1's, the wheel lock nut goes in the drivers manual.

Lol......you just made my Pepsi fly out my nose!!! What can I say, the ladies love the fresh breathe lol. I'm not seeing a plastic holder, but then again I really need to clean my console out.

That will teach you about drinking and reading at the same time. You're lucky that you have both of them. Here is a picture of the elastic. On the 91 ZR-1, the elastic holds both of them. It is much longer than this one.

Do you need either one for your judging? I'd be more than willing to send you either one to use....I'm still looking for the carry strap.
