Re: 1994 #445 gone in flood
Having just "weathered" Harvey, I too pray that Irma dies down quickly, damages are minimal and no one is injured or killed as a result of this storm.
Here's to all of our ZR-1 family in Florida..🍻🍻 Sent from my XT1585 using ZR-1 Net Registry mobile app |

Re: 1994 #445 gone in flood
Nothing really, just that the last 3 ZR-1s off the line at Bowling Green were Yellow.
49 of the 448 95's were Yellow and 196 of the 6922 cars built(Registry numbers) over the 6 model years were yellow.(Car&Driver says 6939 were built). There is a picture of 2 or 3 of these cars together just after coming off the assembly line that I have seen All the LT5s were built by 1993 and "banked" at Bowling Green until the last few years of the ZR-1 were built.

Wow. I knew it was a cool color but I didn't know so few were made. Lucky me.

Sad to hear people suffering from Harvey.
Irma was kinds to us -- no damage, just tons of debris. Best not to stay in house that was flooded. Mold!

Re: 1994 #445 gone in flood
Very sad.
However, even more so, since it states the car was uninsured at the time of the loss. I speak to many owners, and hear far too many who say they are not driving it, so why insure it? These are smart people, and they have the money, but they just don't want to spend it for something they "think" they can live without. The moral to the story is keep these cars insured, and insured for their replacement value! Again, sad to hear of the losses these people are suffering. Marty |

I have both of my Zs insured through Hagerty for a very, very reasonable cost.

Re: 1994 #445 gone in flood
Agree....Don't know if a car less than 25 years old qualifies for classic ins....Even if it didn't ,you can still get a limited use policy from I believe one of the classic car insurers....
My Z is a 91 and its insured for 25,000 dollars......I believe my payment is around 150 dollars for the year.....Sure there are stipulations , mileage, garage, not your primary vehicle, and I qualify for all that.... Especially if you live in hurricane prone areas.....Keep insurance on your auto... |

You can put "classic" or actually Collectors insurance on a 2018!
It's the usage, not the age. Yes, do it all the time. Marty |
