Re: Crank Shaft Rear Seal Replacement Get Together
It was a great Get Together. Many thanks to Darrin, David, Phil, Rich, Glenn, and Don for helping me get this job done in a timely fashion.
Special thanks to Phil for his expertise. You taught us a lot my friend. Flywheel is out, crankshaft seal housing is removed: Removing the transmission rear seal with appropriate supervision: I will post some items in the technical section about what we did. Jim |

Hey Rich,
I am glad you made it up to help out. And Darrin says he would have found that bolt on his own. Jim |

Re: Crank Shaft Rear Seal Replacement Get Together
Looks like to me you're missing the rear drip tube, did you already take that out?
If this is missing, you can bet that the oil is leaking from your PCV baffle and dripping through that hole. |

Re: Crank Shaft Rear Seal Replacement Get Together
Kurt,
The drip tube was removed with the Seal housing. Thanks for checking it out. While it was removed we did a clean out of the valley drain. Even with the drip tube in place, I could still have a PCV problem as Pete pointed out. Jim |
