Thanks to my gracious and beautiful wife it appears we will now be a two Corvette family! She doesn't want me to sell the C6 (she likes riding in it better than the Z). So... it's the best of both worlds I guess

Thanks all for your good wishes...
Got another nugget of info about the new Z from the servicing dealer yesterday. I spoke to the service manager. This also explains the relatively good overall condition of the car. It was indeded exclusively service by the dealer. The car was well known at dealership as was the customer. He was one of those "special" customers that would only deal with the manager. The car was regularly driven from Southern California to Maine where he had residences. This explains the high miles, in a good way. Apparently no expense was spared in the maintenance of the car. The heads and clutch were not done but the differential, shocks, injectors, coils, wires, brakes, alternator and A/C compressor and tires were all done since 2015.

Given the history and condition of car I think I'm going to go for the best possible "survivor" status and see high many miles I can get out of it before the bottom end of the engine let's go.

Now I just have get those pesky secondaries working. So far I've done the pink wire test and confirmed the activation works. The vacuum pump barely runs with the ignition on so i don't see a leak. Power key light comes on. Oil temp gauge reads about 120 to 180 under normal driving. Going to check the fuel pumps next.

Key @ OFF, current to the pump diagnostic connector (approx. 2" red wire, black spade connector, jutting out of the big wire loom in vicinity of the w/s wiper motor) = 4 to 5 amperes/pump; 8-10 is what it should read. 53 to 55# @ the Schrader valve = Good. (But U know all that!

Interesting... getting 7amps and 49#, question is, is that enough to get nothing out of the secondaries? My guess is that the primary pump is good, she drives and idles nicely. The secondary pump must be close to dead. I think I'll pull the fp1 fuse and see what I get.
